Quadrant Trays
Quadrant shower trays are designed to fit into the corner of the shower room or bathroom and have an exquisitely shaped curved front that stretches between the two walls. This shape optimises the showering space for an incredible luxurious showering experience. Quadrant shower trays can be made from either:
Acrylic Sheet
Acrylic sheet that is reinforced by a solid baseboard and generally supplied with adjustable legs which enables pipe work to be run above floor level. The finish on an acrylic quadrant shower tray will generally outlast the finish on a stone resin quadrant tray, and because of this, they are generally more expensive than a stone resin shower tray.
Resin Bonded
Resin bonded or stone resin bonded shower trays generally have a flat base which is suitable for installation on a solid floor with the pipe work running below the floor level. However, there are some resin-bonded trays available with adjustable legs and detachable panels. These provide access to the shower waste trap and allow the shower waste pipe to be run above the floor level.
Stone Resin
The most common coating on a stone resin or resin bonded shower trays is a gel coat which is used to give the surface a high gloss finish. However, this gel coating does have a disadvantage because being a softer material it can lose its sheen after a period of time. This is why the best resin bonded or stone resin shower trays come with an acrylic cap over the top of the shower tray for a longer lasting shine and ease of cleaning.
