Resin Bonded Shower Trays
Resin bonded or stone resin bonded shower trays are available with a flat base suitable for installation on a solid floor with the pipe work running below the floor level.
However, some resin-bonded trays are available with adjustable legs and detachable panels, enabling the shower waste pipe to be run above the floor level and allowing access to the shower waste trap.

The coating which is on a stone resin shower tray or resin bonded shower trays is a gel coat, used to produce a high gloss finish to the surface. But this does have a disadvantage; the softer material which is being used can lose its sheen after a period of time, but most resin bonded trays or stone resin shower trays are available with an acrylic cap over the top of the shower tray, rather then the gel coat that is more generically used. This gives a longer lasting shine and ease of cleaning.
