These simple basin taps are easy to use, as they need no real strength to operate with their elongated 3” (75mm) tap levers. The taps use the latest in ceramic disc technology, where a quarter turn is all that is required to open and close the tap, making them ideal for anyone with restricted mobility in their hands.
The Galaxy lever basin taps are fitted with precision-ground ceramic discs, not the traditional rubber washer. One disc is fixed and the other rotates allowing the water to flow when the waterways through them align. This tap design means that there is minimal wear, because hard-water scale or other debris cannot interfere with the close fit of the discs. However, if a problem does develop, the entire inner cartridge and the lower seal can be replaced.
